iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review

Unlike some robot vacuums, this one isn't afraid of taking on the stairs. However, just like any other mop or vacuum it could get blocked by debris such as loose tennis shoes, ribbons, play jewelry, yarn, or other loose objects.

The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms and even create zones that are not allowed to enter. You can also monitor the progress of your mops and their battery levels.

iRobot Combo j7+

The Combo J7+ is a robot vacuum and mop that combines smart mapping capabilities of iRobot along with the ability to handle spills. It has the same onboard acoustic sensor and iAdapt 2.0 Navigation as the other Roomba models and maps your home seven times more quickly than previous versions. It also allows you to set Keep out Zones (for rooms that the robot is not allowed to enter) and Clean Zones (for rooms it should clean).

The robotic hoovers arm is the main feature of the J7. It keeps the mop pad hidden when not in use, and lowers it for carpeting or hard flooring. The idea is to avoid spraying water on the rug and the Combo j7+ does very well during my tests. The robot didn't attempt to pass over the rug, even though I moved it around a few times.

The arm comes with a 240mL tank that can be easily pulled out and filled, so it's more manageable than the mop pads of many other 2-in-1 robots. It also makes use of the iRobot's PrevisionVision obstacle avoidance technology which is more sophisticated than other models of this kind.

iRobot Combo i5

The machine is designed to be used for mopping and vacuuming with one machine This is an excellent option for those who are multitaskers. The vacuuming process is completed by using a special bin that can hold up to 60 days worth of debris. According to iRobot this will reduce the amount of dust released into the air. Its patent-pending Mopping Drive System applies pressure to the floor to provide a deeper clean and removes tough staining. It also reaches under furniture and tight spaces for a more thorough cleaning. The Combo J5+ is compatible with the iRobot Clean Base for automatic dirt removal.

It utilizes Smart Mapping to navigate your home 7x faster than before5 and identify rooms with 90 95% accuracy6. It can create a map of your entire house, so it can clean wherever you want in just one run. It also can avoid objects such as cords, backpacks or pet toys. It will also stay clear of shoes, socks, and litter boxes. You can plan cleaning schedules in your home and remotely control your robot using the iRobot App.

iRobot Combo i3

The iRobot Combo i3 has been upgraded from the original Roomba i3. It has the same great external dirt compartment as well as it also has a HEPA filter to keep allergens out However, it now supports smart mapping. You can now designate no-go zones to stop the vacuum from vacuuming the same areas repeatedly. The i3 is a little more expensive than the Roborock S4 Max but it comes with a self-emptying station that emptys the dirtbag, fills its water reservoir, and cleans the mop pads.

You can create cleaning schedules using the i3 App. You can also control your robot using your voice assistant to begin or stop cleaning. It also monitors the unique floor plan of your home to give you a customized schedule and cleaning habits. It uses advanced mapping sensors to navigate carpet and hardwood floors, and it also teaches you how you clean to optimize performance.

iRobot Combo i2

The Combo i2 is the latest robot vacuum and mop from iRobot.
